A very simple drawing is this, a horizon line to signify the sea and sand. The first colours in the sky are alizarin crimson and yellow ochre mixed in the bottom third, then ultramarine blue from the top all the way through the other colours.

Then simply suck out your cloud with the big wash brush.

For the distant sand dunes, I'm using yellow ochre very lightly, then Hooker's green and burnt sienna mixed and dropped onto the top part of the sand dune.

For the beach, use well watered yellow ochre with a tiny touch of burnt sienna stroked over lightly,  leaving the white paper sparkling through.

For the sea, ultramarine blue and burnt sienna using the 3/4" flat wash brush, I dabbed this leaving the white under paper showing through here and there and this produced the waves.

Some of the same ultramarine blue and burnt sienna mixed to make puddles on the beach.

My figures were very simple blobs using an ultramarine blue and burnt sienna mix. I added spots for their heads making sure that whatever colours I used for the people were also reflected in the puddles below.
